Biohabita! teaching at the Postgraduate Architecture and Health. Escola Sert / COAC

In the framework of the first edition of the Postgraduate Architecture and Health of the Escola Sert of the Architects Association of Catalonia, Biohabita! has led module 3, dedicated to Biocompatible installations: high frequency electromagnetic fields.

It has had the collaboration of Alberto Bacigalupe, expert in shielding of SINRADIA.

A theoretical-practical session has been held in which the physical concepts of the phenomenon have been introduced and the indoor environment change triggered by its use in the technology commonly used inside buildings has been described.

A practical activity for detecting and measuring sources with devices have been carried out and guidelines to reduce exposure to high-frequency electromagnetic fields have been given.

The session has been divided into 4 blocks:

Block 1: INTRODUCTION
Objective: to know the phenomenon and its relevance for health.

Block 2: WORKSHOP
Objective: detection and measurement of high frequency electromagnetic radiation sources in built environments.

Block 3: REGULATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Objective: identification and comparison of existing regulations and recommendations.

Block 4: EXPERIENCES
Objective: practical application of the measurement technique and the performance of palliative actions (habits and shielding).
