Biohabitat! with the DiBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Diputaci\u00f3 de Barcelona has drawn up\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?sa=t&amp;source=web&amp;rct=j&amp;opi=89978449&amp;url=https:\/\/www.diba.cat\/documents\/d\/hua\/programa-inclusio-criteris&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjR_bP08tGLAxWjKvsDHTe_FrkQFnoECBIQAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw1FhB-VGmzd9SXgxOOBoahs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>specifications for the public tender for social housing with environmental criteria (sustainability and energy efficiency), industrialization and health<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Biohabitat! She was responsible for the health part of the specifications, the drafting of which was led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/societatorganica.com\/en\/proyectos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Societat Org\u00e0nica<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to contribute resources to the municipal world through the training of its technicians in a global vision that allows them to apply these criteria facing all the phases of the promotion process: bidding, drafting of the project, work and, attention here we do have a new bet, the use phase!<\/p>\n<p>The administration\u2019s challenge is to achieve \u2018environmentally neutral homes, quick to build, easy to maintain and friendly to people\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>environmentalization criteria<\/strong>\u00a0(sustainability and energy efficiency) are developed on the following environmental quality parameters: energy, water, materials, construction waste and site sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong>\u00a0industrialization criteria<\/strong>\u00a0are developed taking into account: the percentage of the PEM executed offsite, the manufacture of complete 2d or 3d modules, dimensional coordination and interchangeability, circularity in the management of materials and industrial production and quality.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>health criteria<\/strong>\u00a0are developed on the following parameters: indoor air, hygrothermal conditions, lighting, acoustics, sound and vibrations, electroclimate, materials, environment and promotion of movement.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of health, the action framework is based on the premise that\u00a0<strong>the optimal habitat for people is nature<\/strong>, specifically the outer space.<\/p>\n<p>The genus\u00a0<em>homo<\/em>\u00a0appeared on the planet 2.8 million years ago,\u00a0<em>homo sapiens<\/em>, us, 300,000 years ago.\u00a0<strong>Of all these 2.8 million years,<em>\u00a0homos<\/em>\u00a0have spent most of their time outside<\/strong>. Only about 225 years ago, with the industrial revolution, a trend to spend more time indoors slowly began. Currently, and only in some societies like ours, it is considered that we spend 90% of our time indoors (homes, work, leisure, transport\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>But<strong>\u00a0human metabolism is adapted to life outside and in contact with nature\u2026<\/strong>\u00a0In order to achieve a healthy indoor environment, in general we must try to replicate the conditions of outer space\u2026 bearing in mind that we must also protect ourselves from adverse temperature and climatic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Taking this aspect into account, a series of objectives related to each parameter have been established. These objectives have been divided into performance objectives and prescriptive objectives.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>performance objectives<\/strong>\u00a0are the ones we must pursue, even though their effective performance is complex. They can be considered a horizon towards which to tend.<br \/>They are objectives with specific values, which if achieved are considered to be in a healthy environment. The general requirement is higher than that required by the current regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>prescriptive objectives<\/strong>\u00a0are developed as the actions that should be implemented to move towards the achievement of the performance objectives. The documents are divided into mandatory and optional.<\/p>\n<p>For the selection of the objectives, it has been prioritized that they were economically and technically feasible to apply while at the same time allowing the achievement of minimum levels of well-being, comfort and health that were considered non-negotiable.<\/p>\n<p>For each habitability parameter, general strategies have been established to achieve the levels of well-being, comfort and health that are considered minimum:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indoor air quality<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Avoid the entry into the home of materials that emit harmful substances into the environment.<br \/>\u2022 Avoid the entry into the home of particles and fibers that travel with the users<br \/>\u2022 CO2, HR and VOC monitoring<br \/>\u2022 Control the generation of particles and fibers during the construction phase<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thermal conditions<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Prioritize that the surface temperature of the surfaces is optimal compared to the air temperature<br \/>\u2022 Stable interior environment<br \/>\u2022 Radiant air conditioning systems<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lighting conditions<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Prioritize natural lighting<br \/>\u2022 Biocompatible artificial lighting<br \/>\u2022 Artificial lighting looking for the characteristics of natural lighting<br \/>\u2022 Harmonize lighting with activity<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acoustic and sound conditions (and vibrations)<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Detect potential sources of external and internal noise<br \/>\u2022 Act on sources<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electroclimate conditions<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Concentrate on getting bedrooms and work areas with optimal conditions<br \/>\u2022 Efficient grounding<br \/>\u2022 Locate potential sources away from rest and\/or long stay areas<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Avoid the entry into the home of materials that emit harmful substances into the environment<br \/>\u2022 Prioritize the presence of natural materials (safety and biophilia) over synthetic materials<\/p>\n<p><strong>Environment (pollution and contact with nature and outdoor spaces)<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Detect the degree of pollution in the environment<br \/>\u2022 Facilitate contact with nature<br \/>\u2022 Facilitate the presence of nature<\/p>\n<p><strong>Promotion
