Reform, expansion and energy rehabilitation of a home with sustainability criteria: WE IMPROVE CONSUMPTION AND ENERGY QUALIFICATION!
Renovation, expansion and energy rehabilitation project of a house between party walls in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The ground floor is renovated and a new floor is added.
It is proposed to follow two criteria for action:
First, this home rehabilitation serves to implement passive and active improvements in the building that improve energy efficiency and reduce primary energy consumption.
Second, reform the functional program of the home to adapt it to the needs of the new owners and improve their habitability and accessibility conditions.
The result of the action has been the following:
CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS:
77.38% improvement! We have gone from emitting 45.1 kg CO2/m2 year to emitting 10.2 kg CO2/m2 year.
NON-RENEWABLE PRIMARY ENERGY CONSUMPTION:
75.27% improvement! It has gone from a consumption of 244.20 kWh/m2 year and rating E to 60.4 kWh/m2 year, raising its rating to B.
HEATING AND COOLING DEMAND:
81.25% improvement! It has gone from 135.5 kWh/m2 year to 25.4 kWh/m2 year.
This important improvement allows owners to choose to request help from the Next Generation fund of up to 80% of the budget invested in the rehabilitation works.
And there is still room for improvement! It is recommended that owners improve hot water production (DHW) in the future and add energy contributions with the installation of photovoltaic panels, to obtain an A rating, which is what all homes should aspire to have.
