Measurement of sources of electro-pollution and air quality in a house in Sant Iscle de Vallalta (Barcelona)
Measurement of sources of electro-pollution and air quality in a house in Sant Iscle de Vallalta (Barcelona).
The reference values follow the SBM2015 of the IBN, in the case of COV follow those of Kaiterra.
WHAT VALUES HAVE WE FOUND?
As for alternating electric fields, measured with the potential-free method we have strong values: 9.6 V/m in a bedroom, due to defective flooring.
As for alternating magnetic fields, we have weakly significant values: 38 nT in a bedroom.
Regarding electromagnetic waves, we have strong values: 810 .W/m2 in a bedroom, due to the wifi of the router of the house itself.
Regarding continuous electric fields, we have extreme values: 2,400 V in a bedroom, due to a blanket of synthetic fabric.
Regarding continuous magnetic fields, we have strong values: deflection of 8.9 ‘T to a bedroom, due to the ferromagnetic structure of a bed.
With regard to radioactivity, we have values that do not deserve any consideration: -12.8% increase in the rate of impulses, in a bedroom.
Regarding radon gas, we have strong values: 206 Bequerels in the master bedroom due to the composition of the land.
Regarding relative humidity, the values in the master bedroom are strong at peak times: ‘70%, due to the microclimate/vegetation of the outside.
Regarding the concentration of CO2, the values are strongly significant at some point sporadic: 1,400 ppm in the master bedroom, due to the breathing of people in an unventilated period.
Regarding the concentration of Formaldehid the values are extremely significant at some point sporadic: . 300 .g/m3 in the master bedroom.
Regarding the concentration of COV, the values are “malignant” according to the Kaiterra table: . 5500 ppb in the master bedroom.
WHAT VALUES SHOULD WE HAVE
The reference values follow the SBM2015 of the IBM, in the case of VOCs follow those of Kaiterra.
Alternating electric fields: we should be below 1.5 V/m and ideally below 0.3 V/m.
Alternating magnetic fields: we should be below 100 nT and ideally below 20 nT.
Electromagnetic waves: we should be below 10 ‘W/m2 and ideally below 0.1 ‘W/m2.
Continuous electric fields: we should be below 500 V and ideally below 100 V.
Continuous magnetic fields: we should be below a 2 ‘T deviation and ideally below 1 ‘T.
Radioactivity: we should be below a 70% deviation from the background value and ideally below 50%.
Radó gas: we should be below 60 Bequerels and ideally below 30 Bequerels.
Relative humidity: We should be between 30 and 70% HR and ideally between 40 and 60% HR.
CO2: We should be below 1,000 ppm and ideally below 600 ppm
Formaldehid: We should be below 100 ‘g/m3 and ideally below 50 ‘g/m3.3
COVs: we should be below 660 ppb and ideally below 2,200 ppb according to Kaiterra.
RECOMMENDED MEASURES
Alternating electric fields: repair of the grounding by an electrician.
Electromagnetic waves: Disconnect router at least during rest hours.
Continuous electric fields: do not use blanket during rest hours.
Continuous magnetic fields: replace the bed base with another without ferromagnetic material.
Radon: ventilate frequently.
CO2: sleep with the door open and ideally with the window open.
Formaldehid: avoid insecticides.
COVs: avoid insecticides.
